Abstract: Through the work of Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell and documentary film maker Ky Dickens, the world has been forever changed since September 2024 when the extraordinary capabilities of non-speaking autistic savants - referred to as Spellers - was revealed though The Telepathy Tapes podcast series. Consideration of the implications of their work, its foundation arising out of access to expanded consciousness, and the way forward, thus becomes the task of a humanity unconstrained by the shackles of scientific method.
News flash: 10 January 2025 - Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell explains the link between Spellers phenomenon and external consciousness, supporting the proposition that consciousness is primary.
Man: But I have to see it to believe it!
Woman: No. You have to believe it to see it!

1. Introduction
What do you call a child who is telepathic, can read minds, can remote view, can bi-locate, engages with other similar individuals in an external virtual library of information known as The Hill, has extraordinary intelligence in a multiplicity of forms, be they language, general knowledge, mathematics, music and the like, but cannot speak and is autistic? Answer: Extraordinary! for there exists a group of non-speaking, autistic people - often children but also expanding into adulthood - herein labelled Spellers, who possess, almost from birth, the aforementioned largely unrecognized and untapped abilities.
Wikipedia provides a partial, out-of-date, indicative-only and skeptical (censored?) reference to this group under the label Savant Syndrome, or Acquired Savant Syndrome, with the historic word savant on the broadest level referring to a person with a high level of knowledge or skill, especially someone who is less able in other ways (Cambridge Dictionary). The derogatory historic variant idiot savant went further, and referred to someone who has a mental disability but who is very good at doing a particular thing, for example remembering things. Linking all of this with so-called paranormal skills or expanded consciousness was only ever mentioned in passing. But that has now all changed.
Spellers, in their suite of abilities, go way beyond these intellectual skills-based definitions, to a level which has not previously been revealed to the general public, but was at the end of 2024 by Ky Dickens's The Telepathy Tapes and Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell MD, based on the latter's pioneering work dating back to the 1980s. Therein, specific reference is made to non-speaking autistic individuals who have a very broad, extraordinary and inexplicable range of talents, skills and abilities. Spellers have likely been around since the beginning of time, but a true understanding of the phenomenon has been restricted by a censorial materialistic scientific community.
Dickens and Powell promoted the label spellers due to the fact that, to date, it had been assumed non-speaking autistic savants' primary form of communication was through the use of manual or digital spelling boards - like a modern tablet - whereby they would slowly spell out their thoughts using any manual means available too them. This was usually only their fingers, often assisted by family members and teachers. The methodology was introduced during the early 2000s and known as rapid prompting method. However, it quickly found opposition from the scientific community due to accusations of manipulation. It remains labelled a pseudo-scientific technique by Wikipedia and opposed by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Association for Science in Autism Treatment, amongst others.
In fact, the board and device works. It remains widely used by spellers, despite the fact that it is a dumbed-down method of communication with non-spellers. Amongst spellers, and with specific people such as family and friends and teachers, they were able to communicate on an extremely advanced level through non-verbal telepathy and means extending beyond that. Some were even able to manipulate the keyboard with their minds alone as a form of telekenesis (another so-called pseudoscience).
Just as we all speak non-verbally as part of everyday life - to ourselves as we think, and usually only in our native language if that is all we have - so spellers can do this with others as their preferred means of communication and learning. They are also often multilingual and can express telepathically a wider range of forms than normal, such as emotion, smell, taste and imagery. In other words, their communication via what has traditionally been referred to as telepathy can be a fulsome recreation of the normal, 3D experience available to those around them. This is incredible, and one is immediately drawn to think: "But how is this possible?"
These extraordinary revelations have been met with excitement by the general public, relief by spellers and their friends, family and associates, and disbelief leading to aggressive debunking from the realm of science. As noted above, science does not believe in telepathy. Full stop. It variously labels it pseudoscience, magic, paranormal, or a non-real phenomenon, and belittles and ridicules it in an infantile, puerile manner. A more mild form of rejection is evidence in the so-called sciences of parapsychology and the noetic sciences. However, these are focussed on the brain as the source of consciousness and they merely verify that something is happening; they do not explain why it is happening or its source. Science fails in that regard.
Professional skeptics and debunkers have raised their ugly, ignorant heads to aggressively deny any and all claims by Dickens and Powell to the reality of the spellers phenomenon and to extra-sensory perception (ESP) in general. For example, you know you are on to something important when notorious head-in-the-sand debunker, non-critical thinker, word salad purveyor, reputational attack dog, and wannabe Professor of Pseudo-scientific Debunkery, Jonathan "I hate magical thinking" Jarry of McGill University attempts to tear down your discovery. Jarry, like an unleashed pit bull terrier, did so on 13 December 2024 through the university's website (Jarry 2024). In response, Dr. Powell & Bryan J. Williams immediately posted an extensive rebuttal on The Telepathy Tapes equivalent (Powell and Williams 2024). Jarry initially focussed on a personal attack on Powell - not a good sign - then went on to dismiss the spellers phenomenon out of hand. When The Telepathy Tapes hit number one of the podcast charts in December 2024, Forbes magazine in its reporting went down the same path, commenting that this was because despite controversy and criticism, the show has "contempt for science" (Roeloff 2025). It does not, of course, though contempt, in the opinion of the present writer, is warranted in this instance.
Once again, just as has happened in regards to the UFO/ET phenomena over the last century, so also science has rejected an aspect of reality which does not fit neatly into its materialist paradigm, namely, "If it is not physical, we do not want to deal with it!" Of course there is more to reality than the physical realm - love, for instance - so it looks as though, once again, science will be left behind and remain an irrelevancy in regards to the spellers phenomena. Powell and Dickens may continue to search for "scientific proof", but the proof is already there, before them, in the thousands of individual cases, and the experiences of the people around them. No further proof is needed for acceptance and action. Such proof may eventually sway the scientific community, but it has not done so to date. This is despite a body of evidence of related phenomenon in existence since at least the time of the Greek civilisation and philosophers such as Pythagoras who believed in and practiced telepathy, following on its use by Indigenous societies prior. Beyond that, only a practical explanation of the spellers phenomenon is desirable. Unfortunately Powell is a scientist, and despite her obvious ownership of the subject and amazing efforts and activism for more than two decades to push science in the right direction, and subsequent immense knowledge on the subject of spellers, she appears locked into the need for materialist, scientific affirmation. On one hand Powell and other supporters of spellers need that, but on the other it is ultimately a distraction from the plaintive plea by parents and guardians of spellers, namely: "We want answers! What am I supposed to do?"
The issue of spellers is so monumentally significant and ground-breaking, that the present writer cannot see the scientific community rolling over any time soon and admitting, "Yes, we were wrong! We believe! It is real!" Ky Dickens' comment to Whitley Strieber that the ultimate cause of the spellers phenomenon is love will also work against acceptance. As ever, scientists will continue to try to put the whole matter into a metaphorical box, whereby it is deconstructed, formularised, and theoretically replicated. The fact is, that may never happen, though efforts will be made to squeeze elements in. The reason why science fails is outlined below, under the Explanation section.

2. Skills
Since 1986, following a meeting with Dr. Oliver Sachs, Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell has been researching the fields of ESP and telepathy. Since 2019 she has been joined by documentary film maker Ky Dickens in revealing that spellers often have extraordinary powers. These include, but are not limited to:
- Telepathy - they can communicate with others, such as family members and teachers. This can be in the form of language or a more complex collection of elements which replicate a physical encounter or interaction.
- Reading people's minds - this is most common with parents, such as mothers, and extends beyond the realm of mere telepathy. In reading minds, they can see, feel and hear, instantaneously.
- Remote viewing - they can see and interact with remote locations; they can also travel corporeally to such locations.
- Engaging with non-human and/or spirit beings. This can be ghosts, angels and demons, extraterrestrial aliens and other forms of sentient life.
- Language skills - they can speak and understand multiple languages, despite never having been formally taught. This is inexplicable.
- Intellectual skills - they can have extraordinary knowledge, such as the ability to read Egyptian hieroglyphs, despite having never been formally taught in such areas. Once again, this is inexplicable.
- Bi-locate - they can be in two locations at once.
- Telekinesis - they can manipulate their digital spelling pad without touching it.
- Spiritual gifts - they appear to possess what is often termed in this way, across religious ideologies, especially in regards to love, and communicating with higher powers or different types of intelligence.
- Enhanced physical abilities - the blind can see, the deaf can hear, though the physical elements of their body which control these functions do not work.
- Profound physical differences, which extend to organs such as the brain and can severely limit interactions with the physical body, whilst at the same time giving rise to extraordinary compensatory abilities, especially in the area of non-physical personal interactions.
Spellers are intelligent beyond the norm, and it is only due to the fact of the limitations of their physical body that they are not able to openly reveal this, or that society has not been able to see this en mass until recently. In the absence of public recognition, spellers have gone their own way, down a path of expanded consciousness. This has been brought about due to necessity from birth and through early childhood, such that by the age of five they have disconnected in large part from the normal world, and connected to a higher dimension which gives rise to the extraordinary abilities outlined above.
An explanation for the spellers phenomenon is provided by the writer below. Any such explanation can only be developed based upon the actuality of the full suite of experiences revealed. Scientific experiments are limiting and will not provide such answers. The aim of the explanation is not to debunk, but to hopefully understand and learn from. Apart from the elements listed above, another exists in the form of what is known as The Hill, or The Hills, and is key to the process of speller learning and survival in a non-speller world.
---------------------
3. The Hill
The Hill is a private, community-based, virtual (non-material) space for spellers. It is a place, or places, they can go to communicate with each other telepathically in order to educate and inform themselves. It is not limited by physical location, though it presents as such, therefore the name The Hill. It is undoubtedly the most extraordinary and previously unrecognized element of the 2024/25 revelations concerning the spellers phenomenon. Why? Because it brings together many elements of that phenomenon into one place, in a real form of collective consciousness. Perhaps it could best be referred to as a spellers version of the Star Trek holodeck, where people meet and relationships evolve. References to The Hill can be found in The Telepathy Tapes and a number of interviews by Dickens and Powell, most notably in the former's with Whitley Strieber and Jesse Michaels (refer Videos & podcasts section below).
A non-speller remote viewer visited The Hill on 4 January 2025 and found skepticism and a basic rejection of his presence there, connected with the fact the he was also attempting to record his experience. The young man was not part of the spellers community and was therefore intruding. When he stopped the recording, it was easier to communicate with a woman there known as Em, who nevertheless portrayed to him the fact that he was not really welcome. He noted that physically the space differed from Astral Temples he had previously visited, and was more like a private party on the beach or in the woods, where it was rude to just drop in. He posted a video on his experiences and strongly recommended that his remote viewing colleagues should not visit The Hill. Dickens, in an interview that day with Whitely Strieber, recommended the same - to respect the privacy of the spellers community and not to attempt to visit The Hill as an uninvited observer. She noted how there are apparently divine beings or teachers guarding The Hill. Strieber had also visited The Hill and subsequently stated that he felt in many ways an intruder.

4. An explanation
Upon release of The Telepathy Tapes podcasts in September 2024 no detailed explanation was provided by Dickens or Powell for the behaviours and extraordinary skills presented, though it was variously hinted at in episode 6. This is not a criticism, but a fact as they were both obviously focussed on getting the message out of the existence of the spellers phenomenon, rather than the long-term issue as to how to best deal with it and its wider implications, which would only be revealed over time. Also, with Powell somewhat constrained and traumatised by her scientific background and experiences therein, and also looking for a physical, brain-based explanation, and Dickens similarly adhering to the skeptical avatar of a journalistic reporter and documentary film maker, both stood somewhat apart from their subject of interest and their findings, whilst at the same time developing ownership and performing an incredible feat in promoting the very existence of spellers. However, the present writer, with a background in science and neuro-divergent / aspergers experience, was not so constrained and could therefor almost immediately attempt to take the next step and provide a singular, simplified explanation for the spellers phenomena. Whilst the phenomenon comprised multiple elements, with an almost infinite variety as to how it manifest on an individual basis, the writer felt almost immediately, upon listening to episode 1 of The Telepathy Tapes and seeing one or two interviews with Dickens and Powell, that there was a single element at its core, and that element was consciousness.
Science has failed to address what it labels the hard problem of consciousness because it is tied, once again, to materialism. But consciousness is non-material. It does not derive from the brain. The brain, and the organic machine that is the physical, individual, human body, is a mere receiver - like a radio or smart phone - of information from the individual consciousness. It receives and interprets signals. Those signals come from one's individual consciousness, which is non-material, eternal and external, and of almost infinite capacity. It is commonly referred to as spirit or soul, and is a fractal element of the greater cosmic consciousness, which is otherwise known as Source, Creator or God. The localised consciousness - referred to as essence or being or presence, and which manifests in the physical body, is a mere temporary (lifetime) subset of the greater, individual consciousness, and it is that which spellers tap into and use by default. This is why spellers are able to do what they do, and ordinary people are not, because the latter default to the lesser localized consciousness, whilst spellers have ready access to the greater individual consciousness. This explains, at the broadest level, the spellers phenomenon. The three-tiered table below summaries this aspect of human interaction with consciousness.
#1 Cosmic consciousness (Source, Creator, God)
|
#2 Individual consciousness (fractal element of Cosmic consciousness, eternal, spirit, soul, accessible to Spellers)
|
#3 Localized consciousness (Temporary, being, essence, presence)
NB: After initially composing this text on 6 January 2025, the writer came across a YouTube video from the previous day (5 January 2025) by Max Rempel. In noting how non-speaking autistic children at birth were "wild" and appeared to have no control of their body, but after about 3 years this changed, Rempel proposed a causation and process similar to the above, but in the following terms:
My theory is that there is a separate mind. One mind is the soul that incarnates in the body - I call it middle mind. It is not higher self - it could be higher self, but most likely it is middle self - and there is a lower mind - which I can call lower mind or lower self - which is in the body, and this lower mind is wild [at birth]. When the body does not have a connection to higher self it is wild. And then, with some help from training, this middle mind can connect to the lower mind and that is what we get in spellers.
1. Upper mind / self
|
2. Middle mind / self (Soul, Spellers, transmits to the body)
|
3. Lower mind / self (In the body, "wild" at birth)
Rempel's analysis tied in closely with the writer's. He also addressed the conflict with science on this matter, making reference to what he called miracles, and defining them as real events which are not tied to materialistic science, or find an explanation within it. Recognizing that the abilities of spellers went beyond materialistic science, with no electrostatic component, Rempel further supported, though not directly, the writer's belief as stated above that the spellers phenomenon is not connected to the brain or physical body, though elements of its local manifestation operate through it and can be recorded via electroencephalogram (EEG). This, in turn, brings in the link to consciousness and its non-material origins. The spellers phenomenon is therefore a conscious experience. It originates from, and operates in part, external to the body, and as such Rempel calls it a miracle.
The first of these miracles was the fact that speller behaviour could be observed and recorded. Rempel proposed that this was only a recent occurrence - which the present writer does not necessarily agree with - and that prior to circa 2008 when Powell first published research in this field through her book The ESP Enigma, records could not be collected in an emotionally charged atmosphere, such as outside of familial intimate contacts, or where there were skeptics present or the speller was forced to perform. Aspects of this limitation still exist, as seen for example in the antagonistic reception the remote viewer received upon entering The Hill, and where spellers have been observed to not display their extraordinary abilities when they feel negative energy or disbelievers. Dickens has on a number of occasions noted that the presence of love, compassion and acceptance is the ideal environment for external interaction with spellers.
Rempel's second miracle concerned the fact that there were no spacial limits to speller telepathic communication, and it was instantaneous. The ESP Enigma had related this fact to the quantum folding of spacetime. In other words, if you imagine space as a piece of string, and you need to travel in a straight line from the beginning of the string to the end of that string, then if you fold that string, bringing the two ends together, you can travel from beginning to end instantaneously. Therefore, you can fold spacetime such that you can communicate instantaneously with someone on the other side of the street, of the planet, or of indeed the universe. This is what spellers are capable of doing. It reflects the current capabilities of American secret, back-engineered spacecraft such as the TR-3B which has free-energy, anti-gravity and warp drive capabilities enabling it to travel interstellar utilising the folding of spacetime.
Though this may sound crazy - Jarry's "magic" - it is real and represents Powell's attempt to connect what would later become known as the spellers phenomenon to material science via quantum entanglement theory. There is, of course, no need to rely on proving a materialistic basis for the spellers phenomenon. An understanding of the reality of the non-material consciousness is all that is ultimately needed, though quantum theory has proven useful in dealing with the concept of spacetime.
---------------------
5. How do they do it?
So what, precisely, is the individual consciousness / middle mind or middle self of a speller doing? We have seen above its powers beyond the norm, or localised consciousness. We know it enables telepathy, mind reading, remote viewing, engagement with The Hill, and extraordinary intelligence in a multiplicity of forms, be they language, general knowledge, mathematics, music and the like. How is this achieved by spellers, but not others? The process may take place as follows, with reference to the three-tiered consciousness tree presented above:
- Individual consciousness is eternal and non-material. It persists in physical form through the process of reincarnation.
- When human conception takes place, a sperm and ovum connect and a new physical body begins to form.
- At that point, the individual consciousness connects with the body, and a localized consciousness begins the process of evolution within that body, through download of information from the individual consciousness.
- The localized consciousness will "operate" the organic machine know as the physical body for the term of that body's life, both within the womb and outside of it.
- In normal circumstances, the individual consciousness works in collaboration with the localized consciousness for approximately 5 years after birth, at which point the localized consciousness takes control.
- If, for some reason, the process of evolution of the physical body is interrupted whilst in the womb or immediately and shortly after birth, then the link with the individual consciousness remains. This is the case with spellers.
- Therefore, many spellers, when asked how long they have had their "condition" (i.e. connection with the individual consciousness) they will say not just "Since birth" but actually recall being in the womb.
Explaining The Hill is the only element that does not fit neatly into the three tiered consciousness model presented above. Why? Because it appears to provide access to a virtual library of information, past and present, with one commentator equating it with the so-called akashic records. How does one explain that? Who is the chief librarian or archivist? Who are the teachers, or is the teaching virtual? The answer lies with the greater individual consciousness and its close ties with the ultimate cosmic consciousness. The latter has infinite knowledge and wisdom; the former perhaps has a "wealth of knowledge" that the speller can immediately tap into. With The Hill available to access from the point of conception and connection, this explains why spellers as young as 2 years old have been observed to have extraordinary language skills as part of their nature, without any apparent learning.
The above questions, scenarios and explanations may appear "woo woo" or even silly, but they go to the heart of one of the most significant elements of the spellers phenomenon, namely the holistic change in a child from normal to extraordinary, whilst subject to severe physical differences. Examples of this can be seen in some of the videos and podcasts presented below. The writer's explanations explain realities. They may not fit in with the prevailing scientific paradigm, but that is due to the paradigm's failure to deal with reality, not the fact that the spellers phenomenon is "woo woo" or any other based, derogatory descriptive term which this writer takes extreme exception to. The revelations of The Telepathic Tapes are connected with the zeitgeist and a period in human history where the level of consciousness is on the rise. Efforts to forestall or denigrate this simply need to be ignored.

7. The problem of science
"Reality will lead over science"
Science is useless in addressing the spellers phenomenon, as revealed by the inglorious Jonathan Jarry hit piece mentioned above. Why? Because it has its head up its proverbial, or to put it more politely, in the sand, and only wants to deal with the material world. It needs to accept that reality comprises both the material world (which it is at ease with) and the non-material world, including the so-called "hard problem of consciousness." As a scientist (geologist) who accepts both realities, I can understand and explain all of this. The proof of the spellers phenomenon is in the seeing and the telling. It does not need to be proven "scientifically" because no such scientific tests exist, or are accepted, which cover the complete sweep of speller abilities, or the core elements. It is more than simple, traditional, telepathy. This is the problem with science. Scientists need to realise that there are limits to the scientific method, and it is about time that it moved beyond those limits into dealing with the reality of the non-material world / universe.
The arguments against the information provided by, and conclusions arising out of The Telepathy Tapes are weak and unconvincing. They often begin and end with the statement, "But there is no scientific evidence or proof!" Of course this is a non-argument. The proof is right there for all to see. As noted above, the fact that it does not fit neatly with the scientific method, is not a proof or negation, but simply reveals the problem with science in having no acceptable form of proof. The reality of the spellers phenomenon is just a fact. The absence of evidence which is deemed acceptable, as in archaeology and other areas of science, does not prove the absence of existence. And when you have a non-material set of processes as seen in The Telepathy Tapes, you are bound to fail in seeking scientific proof, due to constraints placed upon the so-called, and very limited, scientific method.
In order to liberate itself from the shackles of Jarry's non-magical thinking paranoia, the realm of science needs to do the following in regards to the spellers phenomenon:
- Support research through grant funding.
- Develop a database of cases. This database must include the broad range of quantitative and so-called qualitative data available regarding speller experiences. The database should be open and free, with relevant privacy restrictions in place.
- Allow for free thinking in regards to identifying causation and development of outcomes and scenarios. This should not be tied to the materialistic scientific method which has restrained such analysis to date.
- Support open access dissemination of research findings and access to peer-reviewed academic journals, magazines and related online forum.
- Ban the use of derogatory language and terms as magical thinking, pseudoscience, paranormal and quackery, in treating the issue with the seriousness and respect it is due.
- Expand the realm of scientific inquiry from purely a materialist perspective to include non-material reality.
Telepathy is real; observations around non-speaking autistic savants are real; consciousness does not derive from the brain and is both corporeal and eternal; and those scenarios presented in The Telepathy Tapes are proof enough of what they purport to show. The public can see truth when it is presented to them. It is a shame that the scientific fraternity is not so open to reality.
It is also a shame that Dickens should note she had not included a lot of the information she had come across during research, as she refers to it as "anecdotes that I have yet to validate". Once again, the question arises: What will happen to those elements of the story - the so-called anecdotes - that cannot be validated (i.e. proved scientifically)?
We need a new word for the level of non-verbal communication that spellers are able to engage in, for telepathy is not good enough; it is not comprehensive enough in explaining the full range of elements which are part of a speller communication. It is not simply verbal, words, language. It is everything that is part of a live, person-to-person experience, for spellers live in a world of energy exchange, not simply thought exchange. And that word is ........??????
Finally, humanity needs to step up to understand and engage with spellers, as they clearly represent an advancement in human consciousness and the manner in which consciousness can operate in the physical, 3D plane that is Earth. This is not a regression, but a progression. It is up to us non-spellers to raise our level of consciousness accordingly, and put ourselves on an equal plane with spellers, if possible. End of story.

8. Update: A new paradigm
The bulk of the above article was completed on Thursday 9 January 2025. On the following morning the writer viewed a new YouTube video in which Dr. Powell addressed all of the major concerns expressed above regarding the perceived conflict between her material science background and allegiances, and the reality of the intimate connection between the speller phenomenon and non-material consciousness. Needless to say, the present writer was delighted to hear her analysis of the conflict and how it could be addressed when the view that consciousness is primary is accepted.

9. Under the bus
The above commentary gives due notice to the pioneering work of Diane Powell. However, the writer has always been somewhat suspicious of the doctor's equivocating and often contrary comments. This has been put down to the fact that Dr. Powell is, at heart, a scientist, and when push comes to shove, will stand by the scientific paradigm. Well, apparently, that push has come, for on 14 January the following commentary was noted in a Facebook posting. It is, Powell literally throws Ky Dickens under the bus:
Dr Diane Powell, who is behind the research which led to The Telepathy Tapes, has responded to criticism from university professors Dr. Michael Shilo DeLay and Dr. Anastasia Bendebury on their DemystifySci Podcast. Dr Bendebury called it a "motivated grift" and Dr DeLay thought it was a "motivated belief" but both said the experiments with non-verbal autistic children lacked proper controls eliminating the possibility of parents influencing the results. Replying to the "grift" charge, Dr Powell said "If anything, I have lost money as a result of pursuing this research." And she denied she was claiming the experiments had proved telepathy saying the podcast was from the perspective of Ky Dickens "even though it is based on my work"She said "I agree the videos Ky put out are of poor experimental quality. That’s why I have wanted money for research…to do it with proper controls. That takes lots of time because these children are so resistant to changes in their routines. It’s Ky and the parents who are convinced they have proven telepathy and not me. However, I have seen enough evidence to believe that it is worth continuing to do this work. The best evidence I have isn’t on her website because she didn’t film it." She added: "I think she made a poor decision to choose the videos she did, but I also think she is trying to be transparent about the evidence she witnessed firsthand. I have been saying all along that what Ky has witnessed is insufficient to prove telepathy. She says that she also communicates that message but I don’t think she expresses it strongly enough."
The articles / podcasts / videos referencing the comment have not at this stage been sighted. All the writer can say at present is: The proof is in the evidence, not in some artificial, laboratory based experiment. The writer's response to the discussion was as follows:
A truly pointless take on an issue of incredible significance. Both podcasters obviously don't get it, and have an emotional (though present emotionally detached) attachment to debunking the non-material aspects of our reality as they purport to dispassionately DEFEND SCIENCE, and refuse to accept the overwhelming evidence ...... The proof is in the evidence, not in some artificial, laboratory based experiments adhering to a scientific paradigm that refuses to accept anything that is not physical / material. The demand for lab verification is pointless - it merely attempts to verify what is seen, observed and is real. That has already been done on numerous occasions throughout The Telepathy Tapes series. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, not in the making. How do you prove a cake is a cake apart from eating it? You cannot turn telepathy into a formula, combining component parts to make a copy. The present scientific paradigm will never be able to deal with this subject. Be honest - don't hide behind emotive statements belittling, degrading and ridiculing an aspect of reality that you cannot prove according to the limits of your understanding and scientific model. Using terms such as "motivated belief, and the difference between grift and ignorance" is merely TROLLING. The only "problem of belief" is the presenters problem of belief in science being able to prove everything in existence. Science is based on theories, which are beliefs, and no, science does not, and cannot "prove" every element of our reality. Just start with LOVE - is that a belief, or evidence of ignorance?
